About Dr. Alexander

Dr. Annetta Alexander was born and raised on St. Croix and graduated from the St. Croix Seventh-day Adventist School. She completed her Bachelors of Science in Medical Technology at CUC now known as Washington Adventist University. Dr. Alexander went on to complete her Master of Public Health from Virginia Commonwealth University and her medical degree from the Universidad Central del Este in the Dominican Republic. She completed her Internal Medicine and Pediatrics internship and residency at East Carolina University in North Carolina.

Dr. Alexander is excited about Elite Healthcare and its patient focused approach. Dr. Alexander has an intuitive understanding that every patient is unique and hence provides personalized service. She is empathetic, hardworking and honest. Her optimism brings great joy to her patients and her respect and knowledge builds their trust. Today, she focuses not only on treating medical conditions using a holistic and lifestyle approach but also on treating patients as individuals; thus, creating a strong doctor-patient relationship.

Dr. Alexander has a special interest in chronic disease management, nutrition, weight loss and medically complex patients. Dr. Alexander is committed to healing and feels that it is crucial to educate and empower her patients and their family members on their medical conditions and how to live a fulfilling and healthy lifestyle.

In her spare time, Dr. Alexander enjoys traveling, spending time with family, spending time outdoors, reading and volunteering. She has been involved in medical missions in the Dominican Republic, Haiti and Ghana. She was named among Top Internist in Florida for several years and received the Patient’s Choice Award. She is fluent in Spanish. Dr. Alexander believes in providing caring, compassionate and quality healthcare.
